California Transparency in Supply Chains Act of 2010
The California Transparency in Supply Chains Act of 2010 was enacted to provide critical information to consumers about efforts that companies are undertaking to prevent and root out human trafficking and slavery in product supply chains. These disclosures allow businesses and consumers to make informed decisions about the products they choose to purchase, and the partners they choose to conduct business with. Dessert Holdings is committed to conducting business only with suppliers who adhere to the highest ethical standards and comply with laws and regulations applicable to their business. Dessert Holdings has undertaken the following actions to ensure that services and materials provided to Dessert Holdings meet these standards.
Supplier Assessments and Qualification
Prior to engagement of a supplier, Dessert Holdings evaluates a supplier through its Supplier Approval Questionnaire to screen potential suppliers for compliance risks, including risks associated with human trafficking and slavery.
Supplier Agreements
Dessert Holdings has supply agreements, service agreements and purchase order terms and conditions with its suppliers. These contracts include agreements to comply with all laws and regulations applicable to the supply of the service or material.
Employee Compliance
All Dessert Holdings employees are required to comply with the company’s Code of Conduct.
Supplier Audits, Internal Standards
Dessert Holdings does not conduct regular on-site audits of its suppliers to confirm they are not in violation of laws regarding slavery or human trafficking.
Dessert Holdings does not have specific internal standards or procedures for dealing with its employees or contractors who fail to perform properly with respect to issues relating to slavery and human trafficking.
