As a company doing business in the State of California, Dessert Holdings provides the following statement pursuant to its obligations under the California Transparency in Supply Chains Act of 2010.

California Transparency in Supply Chains Act of 2010

The California Transparency in Supply Chains Act of 2010 was enacted to provide critical information to consumers about efforts that companies are undertaking to prevent and root out human trafficking and slavery in product supply chains. These disclosures allow businesses and consumers to make informed decisions about the products they choose to purchase, and the partners they choose to conduct business with. Dessert Holdings is committed to conducting business only with suppliers who adhere to the highest ethical standards and comply with laws and regulations applicable to their business. Dessert Holdings has undertaken the following actions to ensure that services and materials provided to Dessert Holdings meet these standards.

Verification

Dessert Holdings evaluates potential suppliers through its Supplier Approval Questionnaire to screen them for compliance risks, including risks associated with human trafficking and slavery. This verification is conducted internally by Dessert Holdings and is not conducted by a third party.

Audits

Dessert Holdings does not conduct regular on-site audits of its suppliers to evaluate supplier compliance with company standards for trafficking and slavery in supply chains. Dessert Holdings does not conduct independent, unannounced audits of its suppliers. Dessert Holdings does, however, evaluate supplier performance and compliance with contractual obligations as part of its general supplier management practices.

Certification

Dessert Holdings does not currently require direct suppliers to certify that materials incorporated into its products comply with the laws regarding slavery and human trafficking of the country or countries in which they are doing business. Dessert Holdings does require its suppliers, through its supply agreements, service agreements, and purchase order terms and conditions, to comply with all laws and regulations applicable to the supply of the service or material.

Internal Accountability

All Dessert Holdings employees are required to comply with the company's Code of Conduct. Dessert Holdings does not currently have specific internal accountability standards or procedures for employees or contractors failing to meet company standards regarding slavery and human trafficking. Employees and contractors who violate the Code of Conduct or applicable laws are subject to disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment or the business relationship.

Training

Dessert Holdings does not currently provide employees or management who have direct responsibility for supply chain management with specific training on human trafficking and slavery, or on mitigating risks of human trafficking and slavery within the supply chains of its products. Dessert Holdings does provide general compliance and ethics training to its employees, which includes expectations regarding lawful and ethical business conduct.
